Museum entry

If you planning on visiting a lot of mesuems, last time I was there, they have an offer to get a shared entry permit, which allowed you into more than one museum and worked out cheaper if you were visiting more than one of them.
I cannot recall if it was for a week long, or day long, or possibley both options.

Bike is newly shod, gear coming togather, just a fog light bulb to replace and locate my tarp and some other bits. Looking forward to it now.

Also intending to swing by Bovington Tank Museum on the way down on the tuesday and have a look round before heading to my hotel for tuesday evening and an early start and ferry on the wednesday.
Just been looking at their website and looks like an interesting place.

panniers..

Just hauled the beast out the garage to change a busted fog light, and decided to finally fit my TT 2ltr oil can carrier.. lots of fun drilling and filing away the swarf.. but since it have had it since 2006 and not fitted..thought it about time..lol. I have one for the 2ltr petrol can to, but not fitting that yet.

Took some WD40 to the tar spots on the bike, having splashed out on some autoglym and found i really shouldn't have bothered. The exhaust is now nice and shiny. My sheep skin is fitted and though could probably do with some straps I think will do nice. The VP45 tank bag is being cleaned of dust and cobwebs and will be fitted shortly.
Then its back into the garage for tomorrows packing session. Tent has been located and my exped arc tarp. Though still debating to take it or take my outwell tarp. hmm.

Starting to get quite excited. Now I just need to relaod CityNavigator onto my PC and get my garmin clued up and put the campsite waypoint in..

Looks like a nice spot of weather too!. Hope to see some other folks over there.

Despite my earlier posting to share a camp spot I've gone ahead and booked a pitch on my own. I am quite excited now and will be leaving at the break of dawn on the 4th from Mainz, Germany. I have about 800km to cover to get there and should get there about 5PM. I should be upright still. Any entertainment scheduled for the night of the 4th?

There is about 10 arriving on the 3rd and many more on the 4th,
I imagine the bar will be quite "busy" on the Thursday evening

Last minute..

I am just sorting my pesky customers orders out ( I love them really.. ). Then will be fueling the bike, last minute shopping trip to 's and then its packing it all onto the bike in prep for early departure.

My 2610 is telling me its going to take 4hrs, 20mins from my house to Bovington Tank Museum. Will give a good test for the sheep skin at least.

Will hopefully see folks in the bar on wednesday or thursday. Mines the manderin GS with Tigger riding shotgun on the front left! (Teddy's make great navigator, " which way Tigger" <just follow his nodding head>!

Help on Normandy waypoint please

Guys. Has anyone got the waypoint for the municipal campsite arromanches les bains in Normandy please? I have checked Whattons file but can't see it. Its all a bit new to me and I am loosing the will to breathe searching. If I can't get it I am going to crack and end up polishing every spoke on the ADV wheels. Twice. Again
