Am on my hols at present in Vancouver area, brought my 660 with me to use in the car to avoid the usual problems with my wife trying to navigate ( she wont drive). Before I left I bought the CN North America micro memory card to install in it and I must say its been brilliant, its hard to believe that a small peice of plastic contains so much information and for 50 quid was a bargain, if only to save the arguements!!! I recommend it.:)

Just got back from 3 weeks and 2800 miles in wild and wooly Oregon, only difference was I bought the DVD so I could work out waypoints and load them in my study at home using mapsource. Ran a few routes as well when I wanted to go off the beaten track, worked brilliantly.

I considered the advantages of going the DVD route (preplanning on the PC), but the advantage of the memory card is that you can use it in any compatable garmin unit, without an unlock code, so, for instance, now I`m back I`m free to sell it on to the next person going over on holiday. :) john

I wanted to force the routes using multiple waypoints, this appeared to be a bit longwinded just using the unit with the memory card, especially as a lot of the routes were on fire roads - great fun though.

Good find Amstel Stu and ScubaGSa, can you post up a link, I looked on Play.com and couldnt find it. Did find the micro Sd for Australia though and bought that (going in Jan):)
