Ventured over to Devon for the first time with a few like minded riders and was blown away by the quality of lanes in the North of Devon.

We were impressed enough to put the trip up near the top of our list of places to ride.

We stayed at great bike friendly b&b near Georgeham that supplied us with a great breakfast and a dry room for all our gear.

Day 1 - was the big ride in pouring rain on varied lanes over towards South Moulton, good technical climbs and ascents on greasy rock. Then on road through Exmoor to ride some lanes near Lynmouth before we stopped there for f&c's. Home ward bound we followed the coastal trails with some special views - 120miles in all.

Day 2 - pick of the first days lanes and then off South of Barnstaple for some lovely lanes that were even more interesting due to the amount of water and mud. In all we knocked off another 70miles which was mostly off road and certainly of the main road.

Amazing...... For the those who live over that way - you are very lucky riders.

No photos to share but here is a link to some of the footage

So, the North Dorset Green Lanes were actually in North Devon after all? :nenau

Ha! definitely a senior moment on my part, not sure why Dorset came to mind tho??

You are right it should read Devon not Dorset. Unfortunately I do not have the option to edit the post, but perhaps that is a good thing!

None the less - great lanes
