North London meeting - Thursday 14th May 2009 - Trail ride evening!

To alternate with Eynsford, we have a regular meeting on the 2nd Thursday each month.

As the longer evenings will be with us, we'll run a trail ride this evening - some gentle green lanes and maybe some wetting of feet! More details to follow.


For those not wishing to take part in the trail ride, there will be the usual beakchat and bollox at Whitewebbs House, Whitewebbs Lane, Enfield, Middlesex EN2 9HW from 7.30pm. The trail riding posse will arrive at Whitewebbs a little later in the evening.

The place is a Toby Inn, so nosebag is available.

Those tractors leave big tyre marks on wet grass , slippery, whoops we all fall down Ha! Ha!

We'll probably ride-off at about 6.00pm.

I haven't sorted a route yet - so no starting point yet, but it'll be somewhere in Hertfordshire that's easily accessible from most directions.

Trail-ride details:

For your delight and pleasure, Mr Emsley and I today sacrificed our Sunday and tore ourselves from our families' bosom in order to reconnoitre an evening trail ride for you lot.

Anyway, 'tis done - 30 miles of Hertfordshire's finest roads and trails perfectly groomed for your use.

The rideout will start at 6pm from:

The rideability of the route will depend on the weather in the days leading up to the rideout but I would hope to be back at Whitewebbs somewhere between 8 and 8.30pm.
