Ok Folks, I will be able to lead a trail ride on this coming Saturday being the 11th November.
The starting point will be on the A5 near Llangollen and Chirk, and weather permitting be a circular route of 120 miles.
A fuel stop is available at 40 miles in and it will probably be a packed lunch type stop somewhere en-route.
Once I get some idea of numbers interested and the type of bikes I can supply details of the route to be taken, but as a whole it is a stoney and muddy ride definately no bogs, and heading in a Southerly direction from the SP.
If interested please post here and give bike details.
Regards.
Timpo.

I would love to come but I've got to go into work on Sat morning so I can't make it. :( Just found a coolant pipe has been ripped off on the KLX so it was air cooled for some of the miles Sunday
Once again thanks for guiding me on Sunday, as a near novice I never felt under pressure and thoroughly enjoyed the non stop collection of lanes that you put together :thumb

Whoops!

Hew, I'm sure it will be ok.
Anyway, get a new hose fitted as I have got the bug again which means I will be doing at least one ride every ten days all through the winter period.
The DRZ is getting a refit this week when I'm on nightshift.
Not had much interest in this post yet? Half these dudes don't know what they're missing!
Timpo.

Timpo, I have sent you a PM re this weekend.
I cannot make it but IanB and a few of his mates are staying at Corwen for a long weekends trail riding.

I'm away so suggested they join up with you.

Cheers tim

Timpo,
Did you go? I bet I missed a load of great lanes.
My bike is fixed now and seems to be Ok. so please post the next outing on here.
I really am stunned that there is not more interest in your runs, I'm sure the reason is that they don't know what they are missing.

Oh yes. I was amazed to find such a variety of lanes in a small area. When the first lane shot up a flight of steps I thought this is going to be a good day :D . And that tree-root bridge over the deep gully  , I’ve never seen anything like it! With the lanes packed so close together it seemed like we did 100 lanes in 1 day, superb.

Thanks Timpo for a brilliant day out. :clap

I thought it would be good. Is the lane with the steps near the A5? I came across it when I had a ride out on Sunday.
Another thing I came across was a pack of Rovers. It is amazing where they take these vehicles.
I have now got the bug and an incentive to loose about 3 stone of weight. I don't half get knackered ridding on the rougher lanes.

Well done Timpo your ride last week was so coordinated and so different to my usual ridding up and down a hedgerow looking for that lane that must be here somewhere. :clap

Why is that dude dancing the Haka, astride a bike?
Good job he didn't make it up to the technical section of this lane!
Which by the way should be openned back up to motorcycles, thanks to TRF pressure to WCC.

And a Week 47 trail ride notice has been posted here somewhere.

Timpo.
