Myself and the missus are going to visit a friend in Northern Spain (for a couple of days) and visit the Picos whilst there (open to other suggestions). Question is do I get a ferry straight to Santander or head for St Malo and ride through France. I know that it would be cheaper to take the St Malo option but would it be worth the extra fuel and accommodation costs, are the roads worth it?. I haven't taken a biking tour to this part of Europe before so I would appreciate input from people with experience. I am open to suggestions regarding roads, regions and accommodation. Round trip will be about 10 days including ferries. Many thanks Mac.
