Oh my  just cut myself to ribbons giving the big boy a clean

Add to that I dropped the fucker when my neighbour jumped out on me to ask a stupid question mid maneuver backwards up my path :blast. you can't stop 250kg when it wants to have a cheeky mid afternoon lay down :blast :D

No damage as it landed on the grass :bow oh and to add insult to injury the roads out my way have finally been resurfaced and yes you guessed it....... everything covered in bloody tar so hence hands now shredded getting it all off with generous helpings of WD40

My Akro is like fucking sand paper and anyone who knows my anal cleaning obsession will feel my pain  :(

Rant over :D

Jon

Not that it's much help now you've done the big clean :blast but I just found out after many years of cleaning tar off bikes and cars that every gang of guys resurfacing roads have a full time valet attached to the group. They will either clean it off or give you a can of magic spray (not beans) which shifts tar like nobody's business :)

Jon man FFS!!!

DO NOT CLEAN YOUR ANUS WITH SANDPAPER!

Silly man :rob

So that's where I'm going wrong!! :blast it's just that bog roll is sooooo expensive! :D

I missed the tar laying bike destroyers by a day. It's all off now thank god and a mudsling on its way which should help a bit :D

I'm not looking forward to cleaning mine when it arrives, but snow foam will be my new best friend!:D

Snow Foam is only good for dirt, not much, Meguiars All Purpose Cleaner (Diluted in a garden sprayer)is great as a pre-wash / light degreaser (Much better than Muc-Off, won't damage paint finishes), Snow Foam it using a decent foaming attachment like an Autobright, let it dwell, rinse off, then wash with Meguiars Gold Class, rinse and then (as you know nutty) get a Bike / Air dryer on it to blow the water out of all the nooks and crannies. I get mine back to mint in about an hour, mostly due to the fast drying with the Air dryer. I'm also a bit of a cleaning / detailing freak, or I was at one time.

cleanyourcar.co.uk is a good place to grab cleaning stuff from

And the Tooth Fairy lives next door…

Is there a better way to clean between the cylinder head fins than with cotton buds? It takes flippin' ages!!!

I use snow foam too get of eBay UKValet supplies cherry snow foam it's good stuff and won't harm your bike after that I give it a blow dry then a spray of GT85

The snow foam is also very good when used in a bucket of water

Terry

Can you just hose off the snow foam, or do you need a pressure washer?

I'll bet the 11xx owners are loving this!:JB

i use the same but mines pear flavour with the gt85!! :D just use a cheap jetwash or and old one thats lost a lot of its pressure and a hot water supply in the garage

For cleaning buy some Sdoc 100. Simply the best. I will never use anything else again. Autoglym intensive tar remover is the best I have come across for tar so far.

Glad to hear it :D

I'm a detailing nut as well and have a selection of rather nice smelling products. Using Meguires gold shampoo with a hint of coconut :D

Oh this thread is going to upset the dirty boys who wash their bikes when it rains  :D

I have a leaf blower that shifts the water..... neighbours think I'm nuts

But us clean freaks know better eh :green gri

Come on then nutty spill the beans! Why the change thought you were a gs man, what colour and when do you take delivery?
