I have read through some of the old threads and have seen the Howard Mix of 16.25 and 15 (sounds a bit heavy??).
I have progressive springs fitted to my GS, dont know what make, I opened the forks and found these springs inside with no spacers to be seen

I have not had a chance to ride the bike so I want to start off with a standard setup. What fork oil mix would you recommend with progressive springs? I weigh about 95kg and also have a HPN tank. I was thinking of just starting off with 10W in both legs.

I think I have a similar setup - progressive springs and HPN tank, I'll have to check on the oil weight but I think it was 10. I'm around 85KG without my bike kit on.

My feeling is that the stock fork needs more rebound damping, and this is why some folks put a heavier oil in the rebound side.

But you havent told us what you have on the back and , and fine tuning suspension is as mach alancing front to rear as anything.

Just put the 10 in each side and see how it is, and then try 15 in the right leg only - it wont cost much to find out if it is better.

And dont forget to bleed the air out of the forks after the bike is down off the centrestand.

I have an Ohlins with the #80 450 lb spring set with 15 mm preload and damping 8 clicks out.

With that set up you want front springs which give around 20 mm less sag than stock, and about 25% more rebound damping.
At least that is what the HPN insets I have in the forks give, and they are made to match the Ohlins, and do so perfectly.

Your springs look like Wirths, which will be around the spot , so I would definitely up the rebound damping, maybe to 12.5 wt first then to 15.

When you get the front matching the rear it wil improve the front as much as the Ohlins improved the rear, so it is worth a little bit fiddling to gt that magic carpet ride.
