Had a look at the new RT today and I have to say I'm not sure I like it. It looks strange from in front - although that's maybe cos I like the look of my RT. Both of the fairing pockets are fairly small, not like the built in dust bin I have. I do like the mirrors though.

NOW FOR THE KILLER.....................................topbox-£883

Still, might like it when I try it :nenau

Has 'progress and development'' made it impossible to fit the old style box for a relative bargain at £500? Big top box might balance out the massive front end??

I had a look at the new model and thought it looked slimmer than the outgoing model.

I think BMW have been pretty clever with the new design.

Should be a big-seller.

The 2010+ top box will fit the 2014 model, you just miss out on the "Central locking" feature IIRC....

Internet wisdom says it will fit, but the only way to be sure is to take your existing top box to the dealer and give it a try.

Then stand back and watch the salesman's face when it fits.

Or post back here that I'm completely wrong, and receive an apology from me.... :augie

Back to the bike, I'm not convinced with the styling ether, looks very heavy and clumsy at the front,

Topbox price, bonkers

Wow, 883 quid for a ... box? I bought me a used VW Passat for that kind of money 3 (repair-free) years ago. It's like a box too, but much bigger and with wheels and an engine fitted :D
I like the RT. I don't care much about what a bike looks like but I like the part-watercooled engine and the fact that we should no longer suffer those regular (and very expensive) gearbox-seal + clutch repairs. Mind you, it might have some new design flaws thrown in to drain our wallets. But hey, most fun-things in life cost money and I am sure the RT will be great fun to ride. Have a test-ride booked for next weekend :)

Looks like I'll not be upgrading to the new WC RT for touring then at these prices. How can they justify these prices for a bit of plastic??????? :1/10

The words "Bloody" and "extortionate" spring to mind!

Here y'go.
