Not Doc not in Cologne

What’s his opinion ?
Or shouldn’t I ask :augie

Fantastic understated bike. It was the manual and the DCT would have been better.

They're so cheap second hand I may have to have one.

I wouldn't describe it as exciting but very easygoing, easy to ride and very well made.

Let me know if you want one, my DCT model may be going in a few months.

Great pics, Richard.
I’ve just booked to go again with wife for just 4 nights next Feb.Or if she decides not to go , then I’ll go alone.
Found this fabulous apartment up in the mountains in Artenera, where we had lunch and has a couple of great restaurants and a lovely setting :

Bit pricey at £70 per night.

Then I’ve booked a little runaround from Canary Ride

It turns out that one of my colleagues at work, was born and grew up on Gran Canaria.

Apparently, that strange drizzle mist we encountered on the morning we hired the bikes and then the in the late afternoon, is a known natural phenomenon and has a local Spanish name.

He confirmed that we had been dead lucky with the weather, with the mountains all clear of mist and cloud all week. He also confirmed that us thinking that 22 C was nice and warm, was ‘freezing’ to a local.

would you share a link to the apartment? i'm likely back in March.

Picking up on Wapping's note - it was definitely cooler than this time last year. I also experienced the '70's horror movie' mist.

Sunny in the mountains, mist in the mountains in GC within 15mins of each.

We had light drizzle and 8degC one day at the top .

Looking forward to escaping this shite weather next month when Stevie4scoops and I go again.
Can’t find the other thread, but I’d mentioned that I’d booked an apartment in Artenera for four nights to go with wife.
But she doesn’t want to leave out crazy dog so Stevie4scoops coming instead.
We’ve just extended by a day as our flight home is looking busy on the day we were due to come back and we’re using my cheap concessions, rather than pay for firm tickets .
It’s only £50 each and we’ll get Club Class if available so daft not to !
Couldn’t extend the apartment by a day so found a cheap hotel in Las Palmas for the night, and purely by chance is only four minutes walk from Canary Ride after we drop the bikes back.
I’ve got a Stelvio for the four days and Scoopie has an NC750 though will have to change to something else for the final day as the all NCs are booked out.
Should be fun, especially as I know the roads and routes now

It was post #111 in this same thread, way back in February 2025.

Would you like me to create you a fresh thread for this year’s jaunt?
