"Not the Airhead Wee kend"

On 8-10 July 2016 I will again be hosting a weekend party at my place in North Devon. It will be very similar to the previous Gentleman's Wee kend held from 2010 to 2014 but missed this year. I realise that not all my old friends from on here do Facebook so wanted to spread the word.

Any questions then please ask on this thread. Sorry but I don't do private messages on this board anymore after all the hate and vitriol I received last year from the usual trolls. At least on Facebook I can block them but unfortunately I can't stop them on here.

I have put this in the calendar and will confirm when I know what the family's plans are for this year.

I did an overnight run down to Dawlish on the '100' at the beginning of October, bike went like a bird - so it isn't a problem .

Not to upstage the fella, but Sids garden can take ten or so small tents with ease, or there are rudimentary bunkhouse beds for the more 'out' attendees. There are probably B&B's around but he does live in the middle of nowhere.

Thanks for all the comments above.

I wasn't expecting people to confirm at this point merely putting the date out there for people to note.

Most things will be the same as previous years so please look back at Past Events to get the idea if you haven't been before.

Changes for 2016 will be:

The "bunkhouse/pool room" and office/bar are unfortunately no more as I have acquired a full size snooker table and need to extend that area so all the beds have gone. There is a bed/ sofa in the workshop that I think Nickct used before so he can have first refusal on that.

There is room for dozens of tents on the top lawn and unlimited space in the neighbours fields etc.

Our eccentric neighbour Nigel is again offering B&B and would be happy to welcome back Mike again. He has one other room available on first come first served basis.

I will ask around all my other weird neighbours as they may well have rooms available. We have plenty of room for cars, vans, trailers and motorhomes with electric hook ups.

Paul BHT, it would be nice if you could finally join us? I'll happily pay my subs providing I can block various trolls from contacting me. I simply had enough of the hate from the usual suspects.

I haven't attended this event before as my airhead has been in a very poor state at the back of my garage for some years. However, this is soon to change as it will be rolling out of Mikeyboy's workshop - reinvented like a 2 wheel Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.

So can I put my name down please (tent). I must warn the traditionalists that you may frown upon my bike

My wife may also come if she's allowed to bring her 800gs - oh dear, we're not going to get an invite I fear

Thanks for your kind words. Especially as I remember nearly killing you when I wheelied the KTM out of the woods, swerved to miss young future MotoGP rider Ross, and missed your head by mm.

Just to clarify again, it is NOT restricted to Airheads. All are welcome but workshop space is prioritized for airheads. All are welcome on whatever means of transport you choose.

The emphasis is on good food, good drink and good company in a chill out environment.

There are excellent quite roads around here so you can as much or as little as you want.
