I've been think about having another weekend at my place this summer but not for Airheads (see Events for my Airhead Weekend on 1-3rd June 2012).

Basically it would just be a weekend event similar to other UKGSer events, ie

Lots of tossers turn up and camp, drink too much and talk bollox.:D

What we have on offer here is:

Camping for a maximum of 50 people.

Toilet facilites: basic toilet and cold water wash hand basin in stable block. Access via rear of house to downstairs bathroom that is large disabled friendly bathroom with Doc M disabled toilet, large double power shower and under floor heating.

Breakfast: As anyone who has been to Airhead Weeknd will know, we can do excellent top quality breakfasts for the most demanding appetite (ie fat hungry tossers:D) with all the best Devon ingredients. We have seating available for about 16 in kitchen and 20 in large conservatory with lots more room either outside or in nearby workshop.

Dinner: We can arrange curries, BBQs and anything else for the Friday and Saturday evenings. I'm a bit of an amateur chef and love to experiment.:)

Booze: We usually get a keg or two of local brew and add to this with local famous Devon Cider:beerjug::beer:. For the poofs we can also provide lager and shandy.:ymca And not forgeting a glass of wine for the ladies:jager

Workshop: It would NOT be a workshop weekend but anyone who wanted to use the facilites could do so. We have a fully equiped workshop with bike ramps and all facilities usually found only at larger dealers.

Woodland. We have approx 10 acres of woodland which should be suitably dry and firm in the summer. I have carved out an enduro course which is just passable on a well ridden GS and a hoon on a pogo. In addition I have marked out several trials sections. I have an Aprilia 240 Climber, a KTM 300EXC and a Yamaha Grizzly quad to use around the woods.

Road rides: There are many excellent road rides in the surrounding area. North takes you to Exmoor and Tarr Stepps etc. South takes you to all of Dartmoor etc.

This just a thought at this stage so any comments good or bad would be appreciated.

Cheers

Sid

Sounds good to me Sid, I just need to win some more wheels. :D:D

Proff wants to know if theres parking for wobblyboxes ? :)

Yes, plenty of parking for all wobblyboxes, all welcome.:thumb2

Electric hook up also available.

Plenty of room to park vehicles and trailers if people want to bring vans/trailers etc with trial/trail/enduro bikes.

If I get me 1150 back on the road it that permittable please - or can I still come on an Airhead if I do a trial on it
This BTW is a tip top venue for anyone thinking of attending :clap

July's very busy but I would like the opportunity to repay Sid in someway for his assistance with my bikes' issues at the last E.Mid's bash.

If I'm free I could help with the catering. :thumb

Sounds good - we should make it given we live so close. One for Saturday and two for Sunday please. If it goes ahead I will probably stay over with Jennifer arriving Sunday (she works on Saturday - check out Chocolate in Mill Lane if you like womens fashion or Crew mens clothing ... advert over - very cheeky I know)

Right, this WILL go ahead whether we have 5 or 50 people.:D

No minimum but maximum of 50 due to simple logistics of being private house.

Don't want to put this in "National Events" as would rather keep it a low key event for mates etc.

All are welcome whatever you ride, any sort of GS from R80g/s to HP2 to TwinCam etc. All sorts of pogos from twin shock trial bikes to nutter KTM enduro machines.

Similar format to tried and tested Airhead formula.

NB it will be a raffle free zone.:D

Any questions please ask.

Is it OK if I don't bring a bike? :augie

Of course. Bikes will be provided if needed.:)

Seriously, no need to bring a bike. You can borroow any of my bikes you likeor even have a non-bike weekend if you like.

You might like the 4x4 Yamaha Grizzly 660cc quad which is well suited for charging around the woods.:)

Now that weekend is definite, I need a Mod to edit the thread title to remove the "?" at the end.

Ooh, I might, at that. But I wouldn't turn down a borrowed two wheeler either.:bounce1:bounce1:bounce1

Time to submit my holiday request forms, I reckon. :thumb

I am a complete TWAT!:blast

Just checking my huge Year Planner with my wife and she asks me what the orange stickers are on 28/29th July (I mark up all bike events with orange stickers).

I then realise that we are already booked into a hotel in Hungary for 27th to 29th July for the Hungarian Formula One race. Oops:blast Don't think there is much chance of me asking little Bernie Eccelstone to move the date of the F1 race?

Will have to reschedule my weekend to mid August.

How would 11th and 12th August be?

Really sorry for cock up.

Also just realised that 28/29th July is Wilton House Horse Show so SWMBO is not happy about missing that. Why does everything in the year all have to happen during a couple of weekends in the summer? :(

I am a complete TWAT!:blast ... How would 11th and 12th August be? :(

You are ... but only for using a huge year planner! 11th/12th August fine for me being 10 minutes down the road.

Seriously, thanks for organising such an event - the date change still leaves us pleanty of time to organise ourselves.
