Now what ??....

Just bought a new Dell laptop....All works a treat.....

THEN.....I put in a passwork for use on start up......Now the password won't let me in !!

The obvious answer is that I'm putting in the wrong password, or I miss typed or whatever the original, but there were two of us making sure everything was done correctly, and I had to confirm the password.

Any answers ????..........

I expect there is an easier way but this is one thought: Create an Unbuntu disc on another pc. Get in using that (it runs a basic OS on the ram memory) then install a password finder...........Not tried it but it may work

....Gimme a break !!.....

I did the obvious and got on to Dell....They talked me through it......Safe mode etc.....All new to me.....

Good, quick service from them aswell.......
