Sunniest day of the week, so decided to head out into the Dales for a non adventure spin, on my so called Adventure bike

Pen Hill, overlooking Wensleydale

Castle Bolton, one of Britain's longest inhabited castles and still in private family ownership

Nipped down to Aysgarth Falls, after all this summer rain

More of Wensleydale, looking to Hawes

Everywhere I went in the Dales, I saw this bunch of mad Dutch people on a sort of Cannonball Run, called Carbage 2015 http://www.carbagerun.nl/

Friendly bunch

Great view of the Howgill Fells near Sedburgh

After Sedburgh, I nipped down to Devil's Bridge for the first time in years, for a cuppa and it wasn't manic on a Thursday afternoon

I headed back up through one of my favourite Dales - Barbondale, to Dentdale - Dent was looking superb in the summer sun

I stopped in Hawes for an ice cream and headed home in the warm evening sun, great ride today

Nice run and pics. Not far from there tomorrow, Skipton/Kettlewell/Trough of B.

I had a quick 2 hour ride, late this afternoon - to a different area, North Yorks Moors and around the valleys of Bransdale

Today's steed

A stone waller........... with a sense of humour - through the square window (the same view above, from the other side of the valley) we have.........this, picture perfect

Great pics:thumb2
Wife and I had a run up to Stonehaven yesterday from home in Angus, and we must have seen about 100 of these crazy Dutch tourers:eek: - really cool and they seemed to be having a great time:clap

Cheers ...........................Grizzly:beerjug:

I saw one of them in Gretna Services on Saturday.....bonkers...had 2 tones fitted as well....could cause some fun for the local rozzers.....

Saw them heading for the ferry to Rotterdam yesterday, so the uk will be back to normal this week

Nice run and pics. Not far from there tomorrow, Skipton/Kettlewell/Trough of B.

One of my favourites. If you fancy a good spot of lunch the cafe at Kilnsey Park Fly Fishery is ideal.

Did a similar route myself last night a nice stead 4.5 hour ride around, I was amazed at the lack of bikes out in Dales, I bet I did not see more than a dozen, there were more camper vans out and about, old folk parked up for the day taking in the views.

Barbondale a great place to free camp, as long as its not Appleby fair.
