Nut Size on Rear Drive unit

Can anyone tell me the size of the lock nut on the left side of the rear drive unit pivot bolt.

Can't get me friggin calipers or a spanner in there with taking the wheel off.

Don't worry chaps, just found a really good write up on the Final Drive remaoval.

Nut size is 30mm

That'll be fun to watch, on a nut thats done up to 105NM of torque, and is very very shallow ( just a couple of MM) :D
 
This is the BMW Special Tool for doing it all up after you've cleaned out the threadlock goo.

The socket is for getting the 160Nm into the lock-nut while the 12mm hex key inserted in the slot holds the adjuster to the miniscule 7Nm required.

My local dealer offered the loan of theirs but I decided that its probably going to need adjusting again in the future so I headed to Halfrauds and bought a deep impact 30mm socket for £8 and then made my own version.
