I am planning to see the NW200 this year. It's scheduled for May 15th. Could anyone recommend a good place to watch the race and maybe a place to stay with some live music and a good craiq: if only to save me searching the interweb for hours

Brendy you are so right.............the Tuesday....all day...and the Thursday...all day are the best days for me.......I watch at Mathers.....hairy or what!!!............................and move down to Ballysally to see the suspension set ups in action.................a great day all in all...........................I usually head up to it for a while ...work hours depending. As a local (30 miles away) I have never taken time off-ya know how it is when things are on your own doorstep!!!
Surely a few local (and not so local) GS'ers must make the pilgrimage, and if so, nows the chance for a meet up, if there isn't already something organised.
Personally, I find the racing boring after a short time and get much more joy looking at the spectators bikes, which stretch for miles.

Mathers has had a little work done on it lately, will be an even faster bend this year.
In my opinion, Black hill is spectacular to watch - and photograph.
