NW200 today

That looks like an amazing day! It's reminded me of the Day of Champs at Donnington - good to see what's going on 'behind the scenes'!
Those 'Relentless' Suzukis look awesome-would defo suit Gary 'Prince of Darkness';)
Is the NW shown on tv at all?

Some proper pics from the Race Day

Seems helmet scrutineering was a bit more relaxed this year

Sadly in the first race the second grid line up had someone stall their bike near the front of the grid and one of the guys further back didn't see it...
resulted in an approx 70Mph T-bone which went on to skittle a few more riders.... it looks and sounds bad when you see it from 15 yards away:eek:

medical personal were on the ball pretty quickly

found out one of the guys lost a finger:(

Ouch... although this doesn't seem to have been too much of a problem for good ol' Troy Baylis..:thumb

Great days racing... crackin weather too...

The organising still needs some major assesment IMHO.. too much waiting between 'warm up lap' and the actual race... not enough tanoys around the circuit... Did I see Kiyonari come past at one point...

3 laps for the final superbike race was a tad disappointing too... ok rant over...:mmmm

Looking forward to the highlights on t'box tonight...:clap

Good to see James cousin, Davy Morgan 6th on the 250's :thumb2

problem is there is sometimes 3 grids to space out the riders... slowest will be at the back and if they don't set off till over a min after the leaders.... there is going to be delays on the grid by the time they get back round but i do agree the grid could be cleared quicker after the warm-up lap.

i liked the 3 lap restarted SB race.... turned into a balls out race:D :D .....

should have brought yourself a wee radio to listen to the commentary:D ... tannoys are very hard hear if you're not in front of them... even in the pits with about 20 of them it's still hard to hear at times:(

Too right, it was a cracker. I was round at Mather's Cross, respect to the guys tanking it round there at 100-and-silly mph   Plater was on rails, Guy Martin was all over the place, Rutter was neater but slower.

A good day altogether, good crowds too. Surprising how many didn't buy a programme - after all, it's a major source of income for the organisers. Heard Mervyn White saying that they're looking at some kind of perimeter admission fee for the future. They used to do that at the UGP yonks ago, didn't really work IIRC though, people stumbled through bogs and across rivers just to save paying a few quid. That's Norn Iron for ya :nenau

Yes I was at Mather's stoo and happened to meet a lad with a radar gun who clocked them coming through at 154mph!!! Just lifting the knee over the kerb and gassing it hard out leaving darkies:eek: Frightening to watch, god only know how these guys do it, they have mighty big b*lls.

The Guy in the skeleton leathers, he's been riding the NW for quite afew years was riding a rocket 3, last time i was speaking to him, comes from around dungannon / moy. Nice guy and reassuringly down to earth, doesn't take this being quick thing too seriously.
