Hi there,

Okay, I know this is going to be a little vague but you never know. I've just been looking at the back of my bike and I see that there is a connector just under the plastic of the pillion seat on the right hand side of the bike. The only thing is I can't see what it should be connected to.

It looks like it has a quick release connector on it and it's electrical but other than that I have no idea what it's for. There's not one that I can see on the left or another cable like it.

Anyone any idea what it's there for? I'll see if it's live or anything when I get home and can find my multi-meter.

TIA

David

'They all have one of them Sir'...... not too sure what it is but every GS I've seen under the seat of has one just sitting there

I seem to remember someone saying it was something to do with the 'canister' thing that the US versions of the GS have fitted (some kind of emmission control thingy).

Mike:)

I believe that it's a connector for the charcoal cannister fitted to US models.

It is a connector for a solinoid for petrol vapor recovery that is required on US models. AKA - charcoal canister.
