I just wanted to post an ode to this beautiful R1150RS that has come into my custodianship.

It's hard to customise a motorbike and not make it look tacky. Less really is more and the previous owner of this bike had superb taste.
Wheels, forks, brake calipers, swinging arm & rear drive unit, engine, gearbox professionally re-painted in 2K paint, restrained, cohesive aesthetic. Almost retro-futuristic. I'm enamored with it.

I don't know if he's on the internet and I'll not dox him but I feel like the work he did on this bike deserves to be seen.

Love it... I never thought I'd read that about an RS..😆👌

Love is blind, maybe?
I was focused more on the paint job he did on the wheels, engine, swinging-arm etc too. He could have gone mad but kept a lid on it.

No he did well... Very underrated bikes and one I had as a company bike with BM on and off... Sold a handful and hardly anyone remembers them amidst the mighty GS...

I kinda fell into this one as I've had all the other engine configurations and wanted a boxer now. This was cheap, obviously well put together and it was a case of looking once and thinking "meh" then looking again and thinking "actually..." and it grew on me.

The only BMW that ever made me stop in awe was seeing an R1200S in the showroom - that is a beautiful bike.

I had a reaction to the first 1100GS but it was more like "what the Fxxk is that!"... Very unique and in reality all of the 1100 and then the 1150s were designed on the same platform... The oddities were the 1100S and the C and derivatives...

RS's were the first of the oilheads in 93 and followed the same idea into the 1150...
