Hi all, Im needing some help here, I have just bought a husky trail
bike and now need to get a pair of boots, Now this is where the problems start, I cant find any that fit. today I tried on a pair of Bmw gs 2 boots and the foot fits fine but I cant gey the to fasten around my calf, the velcro part at the top doesnt even meet. So can anyone point me towards a pair of offroad/ motorcross boots for someone with large/fat calfs. Any suggestions would be greatfully recieved.
Cheers Dave:thumb

Saw a bloke trying some boots on in HG in Chester a while ago who had size 8 feet, but enormous calf muscles (from bodybuilding, he said) After every pair in the shop was discarded because they wouldn't fasten, he bought a pair of Alpinestar ankle boots, and went off to look at shin armour.

I have a pair of size 9 W2 enduro boots going cheap. Only worn on e for thirty minutes on road and found them too restrictive for road riding.

Hi Chris
Thanks for the offer, but I take a size 10/11

Try mavericks, I've got BMW and those and they are defo looser at top, decent boots for about 80 quid too :)

Hi Cuz
I take it mavericks are a make of boots?, and any idea where I might find them. My nearest bike shop is 30 miles away and after that 50miles north or 60miles south or 55 miles west:eek:
Oh the joys of living in the country

Alpinestars are probably the only boot that you will be able to get on if you have large calfs , i have a couple of mates who have the same issue

As already mentioned by someone else. The Sidi Crossfires have the adjustable calf on them. Fantastic boots for on or off roading, so comfortable I now wear them to commute in daily now as after wearing them for laning I realised that my road boots had very poor protection in comparison to the Sidi's.

i use forma dominator boots. they make the 661 boots but now also make own line and are top of the line boot at mid range price. had mine now 2 year on and off road and wear em as my standard boot nothing else

i have hobbit legs, short and thick yet these fit me great and loads of adjustment

i will be buying another pair

Another thumbs up for the Crossfire.

Alternatively you might consider Altberg? They're based in Yorkshire and build boots to order. Might be worth contacting them...

Although I have ladies boots, I can give a thumbs up for Alpinestar MX boots too for having a adjustable fitting for calves
