Oh dear, I took a test ride on the GSA today

Very nice, hope you enjoy it.
What made you change your mind and go for a GS rather than a GSA?

I loved both the GS and GSA when I test rode them - my head said GS and my heart said GSA. My head won out in the end though ;) The upside is that I still have the GSA as an upgrade path in the furture:D

there is a black edition at my local stealers....looked bloody lovely. Hope you enjoy it. For me, I bought my first BMW a fortnight ago and went for the GSA as I do 600 miles per week and hate having to fill up.

Hehe - working on it - just need to suss out how to upload here etc ;) Maybe I haven't done enough posts yet to attach images at this stage.

There's a quick pic here on my site: www.torqsworld.com until I can upload here if you want a gander.

Easiest way to post pictures is to upload to photobucket and then copy the

That's a good way of looking at it :thumb2 I had the GS first, but mainly because the 2006 GSA's suspension was too soft.

Cheers for the tip - will try that later. I have also subscribed to the forums today which seems to give me much more options so will get some mor epics up shortly.

Cheers Steve - It does doesn't it. Much more than I initially thought it would if i'm honest. Although I've only had it a few days now, there's already that lovely welcoming / familiar feeling, so it hasn't taken me long to adjust to it's little quirks :D

Welcome and thats a nice lookng bike!

Just up the road from you so no doubt see you around sometime!:thumb

Happy new bike torq

The triple black GS is very nice ............but you will only want a GSA next:augie.

Enjoy

Glad you're still happy with the bike matey.

I must admit that it looked much better in the metal than any pics. I'm not usually drawn by the appearance of a standard GS but the Triple Black is my favourite of the bunch.

Of course it's still no GSA...............

Hehe ;) Btw - We have a confirmed 5 as of tonight for the Garmisch event in July :)

On my second GS now, still love it. Look at the sort of riding you will be doing, you would'nt buy a lorry cos you once bought some bags of sand from B&Q. Both are superb machines, and the GS will genuinely do what every you want it too. The only thing I would take from the GSA is its wind protection, something I will consider changing, but at £300 quid I can probably live with a bit of buffeting:/
