Oh No! ...Another Screen Thread.

The touratech spoiler worked for me plus the winglets. I'm 6ft.

The best thing about the spoiler is you can take it off when you get off the motorway.

Anybody tried the Wunderlich Vario screen? Its a little bit more pricey than the MRA vario but looks a lot prettier in the pictures. It also appears to offer a much greater range of variability.

I am only 5'8' so I am woried that the NN tall and wide and Wunderlich ergo might get in my vision line.

If anyone was using the Wnderlich vario with winglets that would be especially interesting.

Any comments would be greatly appreciated.

i use the vario and it's works really well. not too tall and less buffeting than the original. only problem is it lights up like a christmas tree at night due to the glare from the headlight.

Charlie Bimmerman.............I'm 6 foot 5 and I get exactly the same problem as you with buffeting on my 12GSA :(

The best I've been able to do with the standard screen is cut the clits off the adjustment lock washers and then have the screen set at one down from its most upright position (i.e. one notch up from the highest you can go without the clit mod):thumb2

It's still not great :( but its better than the higgest standard setting:o . I know this because I spent an hour last weekend going back and forth between motorway junctions on the M55 trying all the different settings.

I still don't think it is quiet enough for long distance high speed travel (well as high speed as you can get on a 12GSA:rolleyes: ) so I am going to try the touratech extender jobby as well.

I'll let you know how I get on after I get on:D

Go for the Wunderlich Ergo !!!
Huuuuge difference,great results

It works!

Buy the GSA screen and winglets, Solves all the usual problems and fits properly unlike many aftermarket offerings.

I paid just over 400 euros (about £275) for all the parts for the BMW GSA screen plus deflectors; easy to fit, it looks right, a genuine BMW part and IT WORKS. Why mess about - it adds about 2.5% to the cost of the bike.
