Please could any fellow tossers help me. While travelling down a country road. (the one from overton to kingsclere, good fun road) a suicide pheasant who was having a bad day flew straight into my fog light (original bmw one) on my `08 gsa. the impact of bike at a smidge over the speed limit and the pheasant only resulted in on out come. Big cloud of feathers and a busted fog light. Well on closer inspection they are mad of pudding and are crap in my opinion. So instead of me walking down to the dealers, what would be the best option for replacement. Touratech are nice but rather expensive. And the ones on nippy normans look like something i have on my tractor.
ANy help or ideas would be good. May just have to be the touratech`s. DOH....!
:blast

Hella Micro DE's, great light off them and look good too and cheaper tha going down the Touratech or HID route.

The part you need will be No 2 (about £14) - I have had exactly your experience.

Why don't you get Les Wassel to send you an HID kit for the standard lamps? By far the cheapest and probably the best by a long way. :thumb2

I NEW IT....!

Yet again the tossers came through, with the infomation i need. I was thinking of replaceing the standard units, because they do seem a bit prone to be damaged, especially as ive have seen a few people on here with the same problem, minor drops and the light gets it.
Well may have to do a bit more homework, because i want to fit hid`s as i ride all year round, but just not sure of turning the standard fogs into hid`s as the seem to break far to easy.
mmmmmm, what to do.:thumb2:confused:

But at £14 a pop it's not too bad is it? Not like this sort of thing happens every day:thumb

I've got Les' kit on my fog light and am very happy with the result.

more help

Does anyone, know of a protector bracket for the gsa fog lamps. If i use les wassels hid conversion kit id like to be able to protect the lamps.
