This is going to sound stupid probably, but the adjuster on the bottom of the Ohlins shock - which way increases / decreases dampening.

Justifications for possibly stupidity ...

There are no markings,
I don't have the original instuctions
The online ones say "turn it" :blast
I can't feel it getting any tighter etc when doing it one or the other.

If you know please say from looking at it from the left side of bike (so shock upright).

Cheers,

A.

Clockwise with the adjuster increases the damping on every shock i've ever adjusted. Does your shock have seperate compression and rebound adjusters? If so the bottom will be the rebound.

Edit - does it have the knurled ring type of adjuster, if so ignore the above as bollocks.

Edit 2 - it does have the knurled ring type, but a look here says turn clockwise to increase damping.

Still struggling then turn the adjuster all the way in one direction counting the number of clicks/turns (write it down). Then try pushing down on the front end and seeing how fast it rises. If it's slow you've got the rebound set at max. If it springs back fast the rebound is set at minimum. Then return it to the original position and adjust it from there.

Thanks Stu, I just wound it all the way to one and the other. I wasn't expecting the difference to be so huge. Clockwise decreases the dampening as looking down over on the shock (so bottom-up turn clockwise to increase).

Thanks for spotting that manual it's a keeper. :thumb2

Another thing done on the list. :)
