OHLINS ESA

As is my birthday coming soon , I thought that I will splash out and get some proper paka shocks Ohlins ESA for my new TB GSA .
I do not know how much are they going for , I will have to find out soon probably next week but I was wandering if any one manage to put they hands in some off this ? And how good they are ?
I looked on the Ohlins website and they are so interested , the shocks they adjust by himselfs according to your speed !!

Price: You are finding out, I guess from an authorised Ohlins agent.

The attached link suggests they are about EUR 2,900 plus VAT and, I assume, fitting.

Build quality: Should be OK, as one might expect at the price. I don't know the price of BMW's standard ESA to do a sensible omparrison.

How good are they: They seem to work off the same electronics as BMW's original suspension and are adjustable in the same way, so there is no reason to see why the Ohlins should be any better or worse from the point of view of ease of use. That you can possibly / probably get the spring matched to your weight and likely usage, may well be an improvement.

Adjustability on the move: They seem to be 'active' in that the damping automatically adjusts to suit road conditions. BMW's standard ESA does not do this. Is this good? I guess so.

Look forward to your report when they are fitted. When the ESA goes on my 1600 I may well look to do the same myself, assuming Ohlins make a suitable version. I had Ohlins on my 1200 GSA and on other bikes. Excellent but not cheap.

Had Ohlins on a number of bikes, plus WP and Wilburs and they all make a big difference over OEM stuff - and all at a big price (Ohlins typically being the most expensive)

I know that is not much differents betwin BMW and Ohlins but Ohlins are more performant shocks and what I am really looking for is to find out if any tossers have this new tip off Ohlins shocks !
I like very much the new idea that Ohlins came out with outo adjustment off the shocks do to your speed .
I will contact Ohlins tomorrow and see how much the cost .
I will definitely trit myself with some new Ohlins as is my birthday , after all €3000 sound like a good price really

I looked in to the Ohlins website and one off the UK main dealer near me is this place in Hampshire , Aurok Ltd.
I will give them a call in the morning and see how it goes.

A very nice guy answered my call , his name is Will and he helped me straight away . The Ohlins shocks supplied and fitted inc. VAT is £3045
I left deposit over the phone for £600 and thay should be ready by May or early

Quite interesting line this, was thinking of changing my 1200 next year, but this option gives an 'as new bike' ride change. With all the farkling I've done it might be a viable option.
