is soft on the damping settings, Im guessing anti-clock wise.

Fitted a 190kg spring so I can now run the pre-load wound right off, just need to find the optimum damping position. I counted 53 clicks in all and started off with it set idway but turned it 5 clicks anti-clock wise as it was a bit harsh.

Ooooh! You don't want to be fitting those Ohlins shocks!!! Have you seen what's been happening to them with Ewan McGroggy and Charlie Boringman on the Long Big Dump??? :blast:augie

Just bounce on it at each end of the settings Stef,. You will immediately be able to tell the difference

From the Öhlin owners manual......:nenau

If the motorcycle feels unstable, loose & rather bouncy then the rebound damping should be increased. Begin by turning the adjusting knob 4 steps (clicks) clockwise. Test run again & adjust 2 steps back if it felt too hard & bumpy.
If the motorcycle is hard & bumpy, especially over a series of bumps, then the rebound should be reduced. Turn the knob counter clockwise 4 steps, test run & make any necessary correction to 2 steps.

Good advice Den.
Just to let you know I bought this months RiDE, rightly deserved fame :D

I have two & took the time & trouble to dig one out & type that paragraph.... :nenau

Thanks for taking the time and trouble to type the info, I do have a manual somewhere in the deepest dark recess of the garage

Guys, why not just type "ohlins manual" into a search engine - it's the first hit on Google, and saves a lot of time searching in the darkest recesses of the garage.

Now, if only I could persuade Google to index the spare room for me...
