Well, should have been a very happy chappy yesterday, well who would not be collecting there R12GSA having ordered it mid January, and have had to leave it sitting at the dealership since 5th March due to circumstances beyond ones control.

You would have thought, being relaxed and not rushed would have meant the Bike would have been all ready and raring to go!!!!!!

Well, pulled up to my dealer at 10.30 yesterday - bike all shiny and new waiting for me - after the obligatory run through of the bike etc, paperwork signed and coffee finished we head out on the road at 11.30.

We cover a fairly uneventful 70 miles, via home to change theseat to a lower one and meet up with friends who look in awe at the size of the beast. Hehehe, helps to have long legs!

Anyways, as we are looking to get ready for the off, a chance glance from yours truly at the rear tyre ....and blow me looks like fluid from somewhere!!!

On investigation, seems like I have a rather regular drip of oil from the housing around the rear hub where the shaft connects:blast :blast :blast . Has coated the rear wheel/ Rim, around the underneath of the bike/ suspension and contamintaed me brake pads!

Well, ride cancelled, bike laid up and going back to the dealers to get sorted - poor German build quality or suspect PDI - either/ or I am not a happy chappy at the moment.:spitfire :spitfire

Oh dear.

Not a good start for such an expensive machine :blast
So, go on name and shame :augie
BTW....GSA's....Expect the.....
"they all do that from new Sir- it's called " bedding in" :D
Hope it all gets sorted & you enjoy your rides soon!

Sounds like the poor Bm PDI strikes again!!!

From what I can gather they do very little on the PDI in many dealers.

Not a good start, but look on the bright side, it can only get better (or a lot worse :augie ).

Don't worry, Sycomoto had a few issues at first, seems to be enjoying it now though. Good luck with getting it sorted.

Shall not name and shame just yet......!

However, lets just say that following a call to them yesterday; a had a call today at 9.30 to day their driver was back - just having a coffee and would be on his way over - be there around 11am - will call as gets in to London so I could meet and hand over.

A call at 10.30 from Driver to say - will be there at 11.10; turned the corner to the house at 11am and guess who was waiting. Yep my bike was rolled on to the Van and has been ferried 35 miles back to the dealer to be assessed and sorted.

Driver commented - "oil should not come from there:nenau , we will get it sorted for you".

Will keep ya posted!

Thumbs up to my dealer, Vines of Guildford, reported my problem to them Sunday as soon as I noticed it.

They rang me at 9.30 Monday to say Van on way shortly to collect.

Driver rang me at 10.30 to say he will be at the house at 11.10 - actually arrived at 11.

Bike whisked away - a call at 3.30 from the Sales Guy to say they have found the problem - a kinked O ring on the ABS Sender - all will be sorted - Service will ring you back.

As I was away Tuesday on Business, my young lady calls them at 8.30 - Bike sorted will be delivered after 4.

Driver rings me at 12.30 - on route with another Bike will drop mine first - there at 1.10.

Lets just say a happy bunny at 1.15 with Bike in Garage - all sorted looking at it - and a big thank you to Vines for such a quick reponse and turn around.:clap :clap :clap :clap
