Oil consumption using 20/50

put in Rock oil 20/50. I'll think i'll stick with 20/50 oil

Was that Semi, mineral or synthetic? I'm due a change sounds ike the way to go.

Can someone clarify something for me here... I buy the 1L castrol 20W50 Mineral Oil, as told to do so by CWs. It costs me £5.49 a litre. Can I use any 20W50 mineral oil and can I top up with a different brand than the one I have in. For example, Halfords do a Classic car Oli which is 20w50 mineral for about £12 for 5 litres - can I just use that?

20-50 oil

15-50 mineral oil from Halfords - less than £12 for 5 ltrs - used for last 8K miles - def quieter, sounds 'tighter' - I may have over stepped the mark here .......

any that are within bmws specs. look in the manual & on the side of the can.

yes, and duckams 20w50 is even cheaper. last i bought was £7.99

1150 oil

i have always used castrol r4 full synth in my bike , it doesnt matter how hot or cold it is, it does its job

God what a fuss you lot make, just bung any old 20-50 in and get it thrashed.

I use Castrol GTX or whatever is around at the time, the 1150's still going fine at 36k
