They said the new GS would use less oil than the TC, and it would seem they're right.:beerjug: Over 4k miles on mine, and I've not had to top it up yet.:thumb Oil is still at the top of the sight glass.

Has anyone here had to top up the oil between services, or are they all burning less oil?
 
@ 3300 mine had not used a drop and i ran it in like i stole it .

It makes sense. Liquid cooling means a more stable operating temperature which allows for tighter piston / cylinder wall clearances which results in lower oil consumption.

About time we heard a positive comment about the the new w/c.
It's been all bad so far pleased I never bought one .
 
This is good news at least wont have to take oil now when we go touring:clap

That will help now the tank bag is smaller give the wife a bit more space:eek:

My bike has 4000 and not used a drop

I also had a Harley fat bob which as you know is air cooled which didnt burn oil either.
