Not that I've done it for the GS, but B & Q sell arange of perforated sheet in steel of aluminium that is ideal for this purpose. I made a radiator guard for my Kawasaki Eliminator from the goldish diamond shaped aluminium sheet & it looked good. Cheap as well.

It would be good if somebody had the correct mesurements, saves the hassle of making a cardboard one first

you can cut it with a pair of snippers - takes 30 seconds - it's what i've used on my bike

I attached mine with cable ties.

top tip - thanks, I want to have a go at making my own word design on these, how are they secured?

on the 1150, just tale the light surround off, and slide it down in place -

Replace light surround, and it's held in place

thanks :bow - I had been listening to those who said all I need is wd40 and duct tape, I'll add a cable tie or two to the tool kit just in case.

Steptoe, light surround being the silver plastic bit under the screen? Oh, see you have the Wunderlich screen, but your silver bit is black, does this mean that yours is faster?

Just read a 30 month old thread along the same lines, didn't say what model, but said slide mesh in from below and bend over oil cooler to secure?
