Hi, new owner and 1st post, please be gentle.

Got me an 1150 and one of the oil cooler lines has corroded through and has a bit of a leak. Is there a supplier of braided hoses known about or am I off to a stealer ?

It's the one that goes down to the big bolt on the left side of the engine BTW.

Motorworks

Try MotorWorks for a "previously owned" one. Usually have a good stock of second hand spares at reasonable prices. The issue is that the hose is fixed into the metal pipe at the factory, so fitting a new hose to the pipe is tricky - if not impossible. Two options, either acquire a second hand one (as above) or cut the hose cleanly with a sharp knife/saw about an inch from the metal pipe and then use a hose joiner/connector (a metal tube with a flange at either side) stick one onto the hose coming out of the metal pipe (with a hose clamp!) and then fit new hose on the other end and on to the oil cooler. Could use braided hose for this - but not essential. Either works. Anywhere that does oil cooler hose will probably do the joiners.

Hope this helps,

Cheers,

Psyko.

thanks

I did try them yesterday but none in stock secondhand.

They can get new but cheaper from the dealer. I'll probably take it off and see if I can make one up from braided hose or order from the dealer Monday.

thanks
