Here is a cheap oil cooler protector. Buy a bit of mesh from the boy racer section in Halfords, cut to size, and finish edges with thick tape. Remove screen light cover, and light facia and with a slight curve in the metal slide into position. Photo attached, should take about half an hour

I did mine with finer mesh, the sort used for body filling, painted with black Hammerite.
I don't have a picture, but I'll get one 'cos I think it looks good.
It increases the overall blackness of my bike :-)

Cooling

It looks very good, but I would be concerned that you'd cut down the effective air flow over your cooler by a big margin, which may lead to over heating if you were in hot weather/countries.

Mike, it is just some aluminium carbon sheeting left over from making tank protectors. I was picking up some stone chips around the wide part of the tank and the oil cooler. I think it is Motrax that supply the aluminium weave sheets, which blends in with the white aluminium paint on the adventure.

I still like mine better :D :D

Mike the lower fork covers are lizard skins, neoprene covers for moutain bike shocks

This should be a picture of my radiator protector.

Dead simple to make and subtle (which is why is doesn't look like much in the picture). It should also have very little effect on air flow, but it does stop flies and stones.

MiGSel has done all the R&D on airflow in hot climates and has reported no problems, I would welcome the chance to confirm this "if" we have a summer

Migsel

I have a Migsel cover and in the bit of warm weather we had in March it made no difference at all temperature wise, guage showed 4 or 5 bars as normal and I also have an extended headlight cover with 1/4" holes in it in front of that.

Like a pre filter for the larger bugs.

Just made one

Very easy, Halfords Aluminuim mesh from the filling department. £1.99. Offer up after taking screen, light cover and front light section off. Width fit is perfect, Cut the remainder off (4 cm ish) and there you go. Took me 15 minutes tops, And it looks good (IMO)

Tried the Halfords mesh but wanted something less flexible and in black, solution Maplin's fine mesh speaker grille it's made of steel and the 12" dia one (part no KS76 £3.99) is big enough to cut to size and comes with a rubber edging strip that can be reused.

Rad Grill

Done my Adventure today with B+Q no 34 Mesh Looks like the ones being sold by the dealers @ £42.00 cost £4.75 took Half hour anyone want a pic or template drop me a PM
