oil/fuel use

On my previous bike, a GS which was a 2010 model, it used quite a lot of oil and did about 50mpg. How does the new model compare ?.
I ask this as my current 2012 RT uses no oil, and does about 53mpg

True mpg or per the computer?

My Average consumption is showing 58 mpg.

My first service was done at 750 miles. not needed topping up.

Now done 1,600 miles, no oil used up to now.

My computer seems to settle at 53 mpg across a range of riding, commuting 12-20 miles and a mix of A,B,C and dual carriage ways with panniers extended. My twin cam was 48-50 mpg (calculated from trip meter) so if the computer is accurate then the LC is a little better than the twin-cam.

No measurable oil consumption so this would appear to be better too.
