Oil Head Service day on the South Coast

Very interested in this, but would probably need overnight accommodation. What's available please? Costs etc?
Can I stick my name down for a space depending on sorting overnight accom please.
Hugh

Brilliant. dont want to seem forward here...but ...Hands on: is that hands on the bike Neil brings or hands on our own? i.e. can we bring things that he'll cover, to then do on own bikes under supervision? as in would defo want to be confident on valve clearances etc (which I know Steppers will cover) ?

It's very simple... I'm servicing just the one bike. You can watch and ask questions. That way i know exactly what tools to bring.

If everyone wanted different jobs done how would i know what tools to bring.... Plus if a job goes tits up, as does happen (things seize or break off, O rings can get mangled etc ) how are you going to get home ???? i'm off home as soon as my work is done, i'm not spending all late afternoon/evening sorting out someones elses problem that didn't have to happen :D

For instance... fuel filter change on an 1100/1150. I won't do as the studs can, and do, break off. The tank has to be drained (i don't know what facilities the unit were working in has to store or drain a fuel tank), also the spigot can break off the fuel pump for no reason whatsoever. Which all means a bike that's not rideable on a sunday afternoon miles away from home with the owner. .

How many of you would like/need overnight accommodation? I'll see what's available and for what price.

Jeremy, thanks for taking the time to organise this. I will be going down the day before, Beaulieu and The Sammy Miller Motorcycle Museum both very local and well worth a visit.:thumby:

Its a pleasure good idea should have mentioned Beaulieu and Sammy Miller before, both worth a visit whilst you are in this neck of the woods.

Well worth £25.. I went on one of Neil's 1150 " service days " many years ago at Pikey Dave's place.

You will learn more about your bike in 5hrs to last you a lifetime.

Take a notebook with you to write all the tips down..

Now if you need a bike to service mine is available FOC :hide (1150 GSA SE)

Dave.
