Oil Head Service day on the South Coast

To echo the last few posts: a good day, a great walk through a comprehensive service presented with patience and skill by Mikey, I envy those whose bikes pass through his hands. Good company and, hopefully, some new chums made, some good-looking bikes too! Thanks too to Rugged Roads and Rib Repairs for their generosity.

It sounds like I missed out on a treat!
My apologies for my late no-show. The mechanical issues on my RT took far longer than expected and as it's in use at 5am tomorrow I really needed to get it done.

It's great reading everyone's take on the day, and I look forward to seeing the pics. (Just as well my bike wasn't there - the wheels are embarrassingly corroded!)

Better luck (for me) next time!

Ps - thanks to Jeremy for calling yesterday and been so understanding. It was great chatting to you and I look forward to meeting you soon!

Great day

Had a great day today thanks to Jeremy great food and hot drinks all day. Thanks to mikey for all the info and dont forget Rugged roads for the cakes :D and nice meeting a nice Bunch of tossers :thumby: Look forward to seeing some of you soon at Poole Quay. Cheers All

thanks Verona, good to meet you too, great day all round, am still "full" from breakfast & lunch lol. I enjoyed the ride even more after learning more about my bike, these kind of days should be compulsory for bikers ;)
See you soon on the quay before I head South . . . . :moped:

Yes bike is being deep cleaned bash plate and guards off jet wash out toothbrush at the ready not going to get caught again with a dirty bike :thumb2:thumb2

Any chance of another one? I wanted to come, but I was busy doing this - already committed and I couldn't let the guys down. I am the fool in the drysuit - next session is on the sea. We even managed to rescue Paul, despite no legs.

How about a weekend one where we all service our own bikes in tandem...? If you didn't live so far away I would so want my bike cleaned, sorry, serviced by you! Learned a good lot there I did. Also that the bloody forest is amazing and restricted to 40 mostly...Whats that about? Even Surrey lets you get to 50! Aside from that thought, Mikey, thank you for all your efforts, Jeremy for your organisation and littledumptruck for filling us all in on all your woes and bikes. Endlessly! lol :)P xxx Knuckle moto, I will get hold of you when servicing nears to work with you at yours, thanks for the offer.

Great stuff you are doing there, yes we are already talking about a repeat performance, watch this space.:beerjug:

Well please note my interest - nay, desire, to attend. I am in the Peaks, but a nip down to the New Forest doesn't seem far to me for one of these days. My trouble is, my visits to the forum are spasmodic, due to travelling for work. I am just on my way to France until Friday...no internet where I am going.

Good pix! Drop me a line chaps for Poole, will see if I can make it too.

Come on then Jeremy, everyone's waiting to hear, but obviously no one dare ask. HAVE YOU WASHED IT YET? :nenau:D:blast

Poole quay starts next Tuesday and unless its raining I will be there and most Tuesdays after that unless working late or raining. If I see Jeremys bike I will take a sneaky pic and post it here. Only joking Jeremy :thumby:

Just answered your PM. They MIGHT be here, but anticipated date is early April.

Hi Annette, I collected the screwdrivers from the local PO yesterday morning, as I'd been away most of the week. Tested them out on my Pan too, excellent, thanks. Hugh.

. . . . . Jeremy and I saw your GS and tried to find you but no luck, what a lovely sunny evening down there, must have been 1000 bikes?!

It'll be 40 because of these.................. and their propensity for strolling and jumping out in front of you :blagblah

Or, even worse, you could come upon one or more of these:

And also, so you can bimble along, enjoying the view and the sunshine.
