OIL HEAD SERVICE DAYS

I'd like to take the last two spots on the saturday for myself (Tom) and er-minio (Emilio).

Let me know if they're ours and I'll send the payment.

How's about organising an Oilhead service day down South sure there must be enough of us on the South Coast to make it viable.

You supply the garage (with a ramp) and i'll do one.. I've done a few in the past, one at pikey daves near wareham 3/4 years ago, but he has a lovely big garage, also did one at and at Phil Reynolds old house in kent, plus at bisbees up lincs way .. Just cover my fuel costs.

thats both days full,good stuff:thumby:
start time will be around 9am for coffee/tea, meetings and greetings and breakfast :D
head tea boy duncan(arkwright) will be in attendance so we will get on with things @9.30
my workshop is a pretty clean enviroment so boiler suits and dungerees are not needed(unless you feel the need)
the agenda for the day will be looking at the service jobs on the 11xx models and will cover;
workshop safety etc:blagblah
oil change/filter ,oils
plugs
tank removal/fuel filter/pipework
air filter
g/box oil
final drive oil,bearings,paralever bearings
propshaft
rocker end float/valve clearances
servicing brakes/fluid change
alternator belt change
throttle body balance
hall sensors
wheel bearings/wheel balance
also if there is an 1150 at the event we can have a look at the gs911 hooked up to the bike to see what it can do(i will give a demonstration on the 1200 otherwise)
that should see us through to @3pm
then as i said in the OP we can take a look at starter motors.
we will bench strip a couple of motors to service them and highlight the problems that can arise.
that should do:D

Mikeyboy. Do we need to bring important consumables such as lard, eggs, bacon, breadcakes or whatever it is you call them down there?

:aidan

The agenda looks great. Unless it's snowing we should be there with an 1150 and a 1200 so take your pick for the GS911.

Sounds great, looking forward to it. I'll be on the 1150, unless it's a horrid day! I know, I know lightweight........

I will hopefully be riding from the south side of the Humber bridge if anybody wants to meet on the way somewhere to ride in?

I'm very disappointed that I'm going to have withdraw from the place I've booked for Sunday 1st Feb - I've let Mike know - if anyone wants the place pm me please!
Thanks
Marcus

Do we have a weather outlook for those traveling to you? Just depends how deep the snow is whether I can get there! Not bad at the minute just a smattering so we will see how it develops

no snow here at the moment, will update further on friday
the lane leading to the farm/workshop may well be a bit icey first thing so go steady.
if we do have a dumping on friday or saturday nights ,call me prior to travelling for local info.

No snow in Sleaford Lincs, forecast is just showers until Saturday. If anyone is near me and wants a lift I can take the 4x4, then unless we get more than a foot of Snowmageddon we'll be ok! Looking forward to it.
