In the real world, you can top your bike up with anything as long as it's black (ish) and slippy and it won't make a scrap of difference. It's oil in a ditch pump motor, not Uranium 235 for a nuclear reactor

I find that marmite works well in the airhead, you just have to heat it up in the microwave first Purists can of course use more period technology if they wish, such as making a fire by rubbing two sticks together and heating it in a beaten mess tin, though as a 1200 owner and being the new generation of motorcycle adventurer you may wish to buy an MSR stove from Touratwat instead.
