Im sure this has been discussed b4.
noticed a burning oil smell, when checked found oil in the air box, oil levels confirmed to be ok! not over full!!!!
cleaned out all the old oil (looked very clean), ran bike with air filter out and seemed to be a little oil haze, breather hose looks to be fine.
Took the bike out for about a hour and removed the drain plug and again a good spoonful of oil.
any idears???

Oil in airbox.......

Flog it veryh quick and don;t tell anyone.

Ok.

Is it running allright? i.e.:
Does the bike smoke excessively on start up?
or whilst running?
Is there any clanking noises from the engine when started or running?
plugs all sooted up and black?
or are they grey?

A: None of the above (bad things i mean), then relax and ride it until it stops.:D
Obviously IMHO at 9;45 Sat night.

How much oil is in the engine. May be over full.
And have you changed the air filter recently - blocked.
How many miles has the bike done, and how many have you done on it. Checking the oil level is trickier than just looking in the sight glass anyway..

Checked plugs and colour all seem ok, bike runs ok with no more noises than normal.
she done 45k and been serviced by the dealer until two years ago and then by a independent guy,
Checked oil level again and is one third up the glass , so don't think she over full.
breather hose has not been removed nor looks to be trapped etc, the only thing is the air filter, its a K and N unit , u have cleaned and re-oiled.

The clue is in the name "oil breather".

It's what it does, and what they all do.

Simple fix. Stop removing the airbox drain plug.
