Oil Level Sight Glass

I’ve tipped the bike over to the opposite side of the stand and the glass sight is actually ok, no need to replace, the previous owner overfilled it for sure.

I will check now with the bike not moving.

I have a good excuse to move the bike at the moment i parked like a stereotypical bmw driver (i drive and ride BMWs so i guess it rubbed on me)

They are easily overfilled as some folk run the engine and switch off before full operating temperature is reached.
If this is done the oil thermostat is still closed and a load of oil is trapped in the oil cooler and pipes. (it will read low in the sight glass) They top up and overfill.
So only check the oil level after the engine has been at full operating temperature then let it stand for a few minutes on the canter stand.

That makes total sense! Thank you.

My one dont have the oil check in the computer, just trip 1 and 2. Its the older screen.
