Oil level warning icon.

Got a brand new 12GSA 2 weeks ago,after mile6,oil can icon appeared on display,stopped bike,oil level fine,took it back,dealer cleared fault code and ordered new oil level sensor switch which was fitted at 600 service,new switch fitted ,oil can icon still appearing on a random intermittent basis without pattern.Bike booked in for further investigation,anyone else had this problem? Thanks in advance for any help.

sounds like an odd one to me,cant remember this fault being reported on here before tbh.wiring or control unit?

Sounds like to me user error...old age, bad eyesight, hard of hearing ha ha

You heard any further from the dealer on this?

Had a very similar problem, sensor changed by dealer under warranty still playing up.
So bored with having to take the bike on another 70ml round trip i investigated myself,
it took me 15 minutes to find a dodgy pin in the plug connector under the right hand cylinder.

I had the same problem but the BMW assistance people changed the sensor and that sorted it.
