Hi Guys just did a muck off and jet wash started bike oil icon on and red warning triangle flashing bike only run for 30 seconds before I switched it off. I know I've probably done something stupid so any help is appreciated. Oil level is full in the sight glass.Thanks in advance.

Think you've blown water where it shouldn't be by using a jet wash.
Squirt WD40 into every electrical connector you can find, and steer clear of jet washes in future.

If it has enough oil & its not knocking bad then followed by engine blowing up Id say water in electrics

The oil level gauge is on the right. They sometimes act up at the wiring connector.

Pressure washers are fine as long as you don't aim directly at the bike. I've just bought a Karcher but before then I've just used my local car wash (or work truck wash) and wherever I am on trips with no problems.
I never aim directly at the bike and always use copious amounts of WD40 after.
I would advise the OP to let the bike dry and WD40 it and you'll probably be OK.

My bike shrank in the (jet) wash.
Where do you aim it, if not at the bike??????????
I would reckon just don't direct the water jet (too closely) at all the connector blocks on the throttle bodies, the rubber gaitor on the shaft and your switch gear and you'll be fine.
I'd say it's great on petrol!!!
Oil pressure switch connector is on the LH side of the engine block by the LH cylinder. Easy enough to unclip the connector and spray wiring and switch with WD40 then refit it.

Aim the jet up in the air and let the water fall onto the bike by gravity alone - or deflect the jet off neighbouring buildings/small boys etc.

I prefer jet washing because anything loose enough to get blasted off really should be sorted anyway and it cleans parts that a brush can't get into. But it's clearly not good on decals and water will find its way into electrical connectors if the jet is pointed right at them.

There's nothing wrong with using a jetwash as long as you know what you're doing and use the correct nozzle. I've used one on 3 bikes I've owned without any problems. I have a wide fan auto nozzle and never point it directly at electrical connectors or wheel bearings from close range. The closer you get the nozzle to the bike the more force it has and vice versa so when washing the more delicate stuff just hold the nozzle further away. using a ph neutral Traffic film remover as a pre wash will soften and help lift the crud so you don't need to get the jetwash as close as you would if you didn't use some first, something like powermax TFR. If you're not confident then it's probably better to use something else...or not bother. I also have a pet blower off ebay for about £60 that I use to disperse the water from the nooks and crannies.
