Oil loss over 1k miles?

I did get an oil can symbol appear on the display, is there a warning light as well when it gets even lower?

An oil can (with a wavy line under it) means a low oil LEVEL has been detected and you should check it at the next fuel stop. You will also see CHECK OIL on the display. You will only get this warning if your bike has the On Board Computer option.

If you see an oil can (no line under it) and a flashing red "general warning" triangle this means low oil PRESSURE and you should pull over and stop the engine ASAP. This more serious warning is standard, regardless of OBC or not.

The two are separate systems.
