oil on final drive

what does this mean?!:eek: rode a couple of hundred miles on the 'new' r80 st this weekend (including motorway) and noticed some oil spill on the final drive this morning....

Change the oil, (it does not hold much), and fill to the correct level
 
washers on order - so will check oils & replace at weekend:thumb2

I assume the oil spec and levels are described in the haynes manual?

I think there will be a level plug on yours, at the rear of the drive housing (cant see on pics.)
EP 90 oil
 
Had a look at the final drive issue yesterday - it had in excess of 500ml oil in the bevel!:eek: Now re-filled with the correct amount of 350ml. The level screw at the back of the bevel turns but does not unscrew, or tighten properly - no leak tho':confused:

While I was at it I drained the shaft as well - oil looked a bit milky, and now replaced with 150ml new GL-5 as well.

Next will be gearbox, which I only topped-up.
