Oil Pressure Light

Can anyobe help?

The oil pressure light on my 1150 GS does not work.

I have earthed the oil pressure switch wire out and it still did not come on, so problem not the switch.

Checked the continuity from the switch to the bulb holder and this was okay, as was the bulb.

There does not appear to be any power coming into the bulb holder, does anyone know where the power for this comes from?

I am trying to trace the wire but this is proving difficult.

Oi Pressure

Many thanks, wiring diagram did help.

After several hours trying to trace green and brown wires (very frustrating) with my fingers that were too big to fit into small gaps, finally found a broken wire under the fuse box.

Not sure how the wire got broken (only just bought the bike) but soldered back together, covered with heat shrink and oil pressure light now works correctly.

Hmm

intresting my oil lights just started being intermittent, not worrying too much though just keeping an eye on the oil level and continuing to thrash it.
