Oil pressure on my 1100GS is low when I start the bike up (as displayed on the RID) - after a couple of miles it shows enough bars to bring it up to about middle of the scale. It runs on synthetic oil and the level is correct. The bike is well over due a service and has been used, abused and neglected of late, but it still seems to run OK - apart from the usual bangs and crashes associated with German tractors.

Any ideas ?

The RID is a temperature gauge, not a pressure gauge.

Get it serviced!

anonymity is my friend ;)

Calling BHT, calling BHT!

We have a tosser in our midst. He's paid a sponsorship, so you must know who he is.

Can he be 'outed' please?

......... its only on days like this that the true meaning of tosser comes to light - its great to join the official ranks of tosserdom :doh

Shit happens, I have set off before now and thought there was no fuel, then only to see it rise to three bars, then to realise it's the temp gague I am looking at. :rob
