OIL sight glass

ok guys this is gonna sound daft but for some reason I cant see any oil through my sight glass at all! its clean and not scratched... r1150gs by the way... and I worry about when to add oil as am doing about 400 miles a week at the mo'... any ideas? cheers me dears!

Empty the oil, refill with handbook amount and then see if you can "see" any oil

That means your oil level is now below the sight glass window or your bike needs washing.

it doesnt show anything. there is a very tiny circle almost like a bubble in the centre of the sight glass but thats it. (is it me? am I going crazy?)

Rob82176 - It's either got a great lack of oil or it's overfilled. If you've done as Steptoe has said and cant see the top of the oil - get on the bike while someone looks at the oil window. Lean the bike slightly to the right. Hopefully they will see the oil level coming down the window...

That is, with the motor 'off'.
