When I get off the bike after being out there's a distinct 'warm oil' smell coming off it. Most noticable if I put my nose next to the rear brake fluid resevoir on the RHS. I can't see any leaks anywhere, nothing drips overnight and all fluid levels remain constant.

Does anyone have any tips on what to look for and where? '07 GS.

have a look at the clutch slave cylinder for signs of oil leak. you will see it if u look at the rear of the engine from the rear wheel.

also look at the back of engine where the cluch housing joins the gearbox. you will find if its leaking here there will be a tell tale sign at the join, also collects in the sump plate as it runs down back of engine.

Check underneath the gearbox. (Oily smell was what made me find my oil leak.) On mine, it was leaking from the join between crankcase and gearbox.

Probably not that, but worth checking.
