Yesterday, I was playing silly b*ggers testing out how fast I could stop on a dry road, with and without ABS.
After one such stop there was a definate change to the noise of the engine - more tappety and clatery. after a couple of seconds, it returned to normal. Sounded just like the oil pickup might be sucking air. I checked the oil level on return home. OK but only just above the minimum.
can anybody tell me, is the GS prone to oil surge problems? Should I keep the oil level near the Max?
