I hope it doesn't break John. It's just plastic supported by a seal?

Yep. It popped straight out with a bit of leverage. Gave it a good clean and stuck it into the new rocker cover. Fingers crossed there's no leaks... Didn't change the gasket. Fingers crossed!

Mine leaked even with new O rings, a smear of silicone gasket around the outside did the trick.

I went off road and dropped about fifty times!!!

Think she's ok leak wise. I'll use a bit of sillicone gasket sealer if she dribbles at all.

Thanks lads.

It's leaking now. I don't have any silicone gasket here. Would black industrial silicone grease do the job or have I just said something extremely stupid?:D

edit, I'm just after getting the concept of the silicone gasket vs silicone grease.

thought about this and I think it just needs a proper clean and a decent smack with a hammer. with the grease.

I really have to stop thinking out loud and typing with a few beers in me:hide

Ended up using some silicone gasket. It worked at treat and not a drop of oil gets out even if the oils hot and I'm keeping the revs up.
