Cheers t'other dave, thats just what i'm looking for!

Just spoken to Melvin, what a great guy and provides just what i'm looking for at less then half the price of a sargent/touratech seat...going to get mine done!

I'm having my low seat sorted on Friday, 30mm of high density foam with another 25mm 'memory' foam stuck to it (£15). Seat stripped and new foam added and blended to old foam and recovered in same black vinyl (£60)

Trimmers just outside Slough between M40(J2) and M4(J7) in Bourne End.:thumb2

a bit more research, well Tony Archer Seats are coming in at the better price then the coventry boys,.. does anybody have a picture of a tony archer seat on a GS1150??

forget a new seat , just fit a roho airhawk , size medium cruiser 14" x 14" .
i just bought one from ghost motorcycles in florida for £130 inc delivery customs and vat charges , just done a 300 mile jaunt and no monkey butt !! best investment ever ,,, :D:D

Airhawk

Consider an "Airhawk" I can do the run form home to Dundee in comfort now... only downside is making sure you lock it away in the services to stop it getting stolen!

Don't do it, how the hell can you tell if a seat is comfortable by a picture...... - you'll still have a sore arse and be out of pocket. Softness and gel inserts doesn't equal comfort.

I tried everything, and i mean everything before realising that a corbin done the job for me ( you've either got a corbin or sargent shaped arse).

Proved it's worth on a 16 hour in the saddle ride to torramalinos.

corbins

Absolutly right on the money, I've had a corbin for the last 65,000 miles and it's the best I have also done some long days (875 in Alaska) and survived, many long touras around the states and Alaska to ushia and back to BA no seating probs at all. They do take about a thousand miles to really bed in to your bum but are better from the off. So go and spend it you cabt take it with you and you can always sell it if you don't like it.

tried them all myself! bought corbin off johnny boxer secondhand, best 200quid ive spent on the bike! missus happy too:D

Bagster seat with gel insert. No idea what it cost, but 5hrs 35mins without getting out of the saddle is proof enough for me.
